Ranchi, Aug 14: A team of the CID today once again visited the Nirmal Hriday center being run by the Missionaries of Charity at the East Jail Road of the state capital and inquired in connection with the case related to sale of children.
CID officials said that a team of the investigating agency led by DSP Ravindra Kumar Rai and investigating officer for the case Umesh Thakur apart from the case of selling of four children also inquired into the missing of another 58 children from the center.
As per the records of the register which was seized from Nirmal Hriday from March 16 to June 29, 2018 out of 110 only 52 children were produced before the child welfare committee.
The team also questioned the people at the center regarding the involvement of other staff and sisters apart from Consilia and Anima Indwar who were involved in this illegal business of sale of children. The officials said, during police remand Anima had named three other women of being involved in this illegal racket.UNI
