Two killed, six injured, one rescued alive in Ramban landslide incident

Jammu, May 17 : Two killed, one rescued, while six others sustained serious injuries when a landslide hit the JammuSrinagar national highway in Ramban district of Jammu and Kashmir, police said on Sunday. The landslide hit near Seri on the highway, just a few kilometres short of Ramban late on Saturday evening, police here said on Sunday.

Two persons died in the incident and were identified as Raj Kumar, 28, resident of Dharmound, Batote and Khalid Hussain,19 of Bimdasa. Meanwhile the injured were identified as Bachitar Ram, Kaka Ram, Somi Raj, Bittu Ram, Raj Kumar, Bittu Ram, Tanveer Ahmed and Bansarsi Lal. All injured persons were admitted to District Hospital, Ramban. (UNI)
