Video of policemen ‘vandalising’ shops, houses in Budgam goes viral on social media

Srinagar, May 13 : A video allegedly showing policemen damaging shops and residential hours in a village in central Kashmir district of Budgam after a senior police officer was injured in clashes last week has gone viral on social media. In the alleged video, the policemen could be seen vandalizing and ransacking shops and residential houses in village Nasrullahpora in Budgam. The video, which is over two minutes, has gone viral on social media.

The policemen in the video could also be seen taking out goods from several shops and destroying them. The incident allegedly took place on May 8 after Deputy Superintendent of Police Fayaz Hussain received a head injury during stone-pelting by locals. Meanwhile, photographs of a woman with bruises on her legs, who was also allegedly thrashed by police some time ago, was also doing rounds on social media.
