Twenty-five new cases in Kashmir, tally mounts to 639 in J&K

Srinagar, May 1: The Coronavirus cases continued to rise unabated in Jammu and Kashmir as 25 more persons from Kashmir tested positive for the virus on Friday, taking the total number of infected people to 639 in the Union Territory. With this, 116 new people, including 115 from Kashmir and one from Jammu, tested for the virus in the first five days of this week in J&K. However, there are only six active positive cases in Jammu, where test result of other COVID-19 patients have come as negative. An official on Friday said that 25 more people tested positive for coronavirus in Kashmir division while no new case was reported from Jammu. With this, he said the total number of infected persons has risen to 639.(UNI)
