Srinagar, Dec 4: The strategically important road from Bandipora to border town of Gurez, surrounded by Pakistan-occupied-Kashmir (PoK) from three sides remained closed on Wednesday due to accumulation of snow and slippery road conditions.
A massive snow clearance operation continued on Bandipora-Gurez road, which also connects dozens of other villages near LoC with district and tehsil headquarters. There was five to six feet of snow at Razdan pass, official sources said. Men and machinery from both sides of the pass are on job to put through the road, which remained closed for six winter months.
Snow clearance operation is almost completed and road could be put through anytime, official sources said. (UNI)
