Srinagar, Aug 4 : Rejecting rumours about state flag, J&K Peoples Movement president (JKPM) Shah Faesal has said that State flag was flying along with Tricolour atop Civil Secretariat, seat of the Jammu and Kashmir government in Srinagar.
Former IAS topper-turned politician Faesal on Saturday asked people not to pay any heed to rumours about removal of state flag from secretariat and other government buildings.
Taking to micro-blogging site Twitter, Dr Faesal said, 'I am outside Civil Secretariat and as of now, the State Flag is flying with all its glory besides the Tricolor. Don't pay heed to rumors.’
Rumours were being spread in the valley about the removal of state flag. Similarly, rumours were spread that state police personnel were asked to deposit their service weapons in police station which was later rejected by Additional Director General of Police, Law and Order, Muneer Ahmad Khan. Khan said no such order was issued. (UNI)
