New Delhi, Jul 30: The BJP Core Group on Jammu and Kashmir held a meeting here on Tuesday evening. The meeting chaired by BJP working president J P Nadda was attended among others by party general secretary Ram Madhav, who had played a key role when the saffron party had stitched an alliance with Mehbooba Mufti-led PDP.The meeting was also attended by Union Minister Jitendra Singh and other state leaders.
On Sunday, it was given to understand that Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP chief Amit Shah, who is also the Union Home Minister, could also attend the meeting.
The meeting, according to sources, could hold parleys among party leaders on the possibility of holding assembly elections in the militancy-hit state by year end. UNI
