Srinagar, Jul 16 : Police on Tuesday claimed to have arrested two youth involved in killing of a shopkeeper and recovered pistol from them in north Kashmir district of Baramulla.
A police official said that after following various leads a joint team of police, Army and CRPF arrested two youth from old town Baramulla for their alleged role in the killing of the shopkeeper, Sameer Ahmad, on June 30. “During questioning, the youth disclosed the place where the murder weapon was kept,” he said, adding a team was rushed to an orchard in Baramulla and a pistol was recovered.
He said the third person involved in the killing has already joined Hizbul Mujahideen (HM) on July 1.
Sameer, a shopkeeper, was critically wounded by gunmen on June 30 in Baramulla Old Town. The injured after battling for his life for a day succumbed on July 1 in a hospital in Srinagar. (UNI)
