New Delhi, Jun 14:Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy on Friday called on Union Home Minister Amit Shah.
Interacting with media after the meeting, Mr Reddy said it was a courtesy call after Mr Shah took over as Home Minister and discussed about the long pending demand of Special Category Status to Andhra Pradesh.
It is understood that the pending issues related bifurcation of the state under Andhra Pradesh Re-organisation Act 2014 were also discussed.
One of the YSR Congress party leaders also hinted that the BJP's offer for Deputy Speaker post in the Lok Sabha to his party was also discussed at the meeting.
The meeting with Home Minister lasted about half an hour in the North Block.
