Terrorist hideout busted in Kishtwar

Jammu, June 9: Security forces on Sunday recovered items including empty magazines from a hideout in a remote belt of Kishtwar district in Jammu and Kashmir.

"Based on tip off, a joint operation was launched by the Army and a team of SOG this morning in Panthna area of Keshwan in Kishtwar," official sources here said.

They said that during search operation, a terrorist hideout was busted and items like sleeping bag, wooden bed, steel boxes, gas cylinder, gas chulla, Maggi packets, real juice, wrist watch, AK magazines and blankets we're recovered.

"The items were recovered around 500 metres away from the house of active militant Jammal Din," sources added.

Pertinent to mention here that last week two SPOs were injured when they were shot by suspected terrorists during a brief exchange of fire in Kishtwar. A search operation was carried out but the terrorists had escaped.
