Srinagar, May 20: Asserting that BJP's winning or losing the Lok Sabha elections is not the end of the world, former Jammu and Kashmir chief minister Mehbooba Mufti on Monday hoped that people in the system and journalists, who stood up and raised their voices, won't deter to fight for what is right, because of the results.
'BJP winning or losing isn't the end of the world. True those institutions were subverted & press standards plummeted. Yet many in the system & journalists with integrity stood up & raised their voices. Hope these results don't deter their resolve to fight for what's right,' the president of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) posted on micro-blogging site Twitter.
After nearly two months of high-pitch campaigning and seven phase of election schedule, most exit polls on Sunday predicated a clear majority to BJP-led NDA, with nearly or above 300 seats, out of total 542 Lok Sabha seats. (UNI)
