Srinagar, Mar 7 : Normal life remained crippled for the third successive day on Thursday at Tral in south Kashmir district of Pulwama, where two militants were killed in an encounter with security forces.
A police spokesperson said there was no restriction in any part of Kashmir Valley though security forces remained deployed in sensitive areas in Pulwama to maintain law and order.
Though there was no strike call given by any organisation, shops and business establishments remained closed and traffic was off the roads in Tral and its adjoining areas in Pulwama. Work in government offices and banks also remained affected in these areas due to the strike against the killing of militants.
However, reports of normality were received from other parts of Pulwama and other south Kashmir districts.
Two militants were killed on Tuesday by security forces in an encounter which ensued during a Cordon and Search Operation (CASO) in Tral.
