Srinagar, Mar 2 : Fresh avalanche warning has been issued on Saturday in the Jammu and Kashmir, where upper reaches experienced snowfall while plains were lashed by rain, disrupting normal life.
An official spokesman said that High Danger Avalanche (HAD) warning has been issued for the higher reaches of Ramban on Srinagar-Jammu national highway, Anantnag and Kulgam in south Kashmir, Kupwara and Bandipora in north and Ganderbal in central valley for next 24 hours.
He said there is a danger of Medium Level avalanche in Poonch, Rajouri, Reasi, Doda, Kishtwar and Udhampur in Jammu region. Similar warning has been issued in Leh and Kargil in Ladakh region and Badgam in central and Baramulla in north Kashmir.
People in these avalanche prone areas have been directed to restrict their movement and remain indoor. However, in case of any emergency extra care should be taken, people were directed. (UNI)
