Two Vaishno Devi pilgrims from Gujarat killed, 40 injured in Kathua road mishap

Jammu, Jan 27: Two Gujarat based pilgrims were killed and 40 others injured as the bus they were travelling in skidded off and turned turtle on Jammu-Pathankot national highway in Kathua district.

"A bus (JK02BC-1854) on way from Katra to Gujarat ferrying pilgrims this morning turned turtle near Dayalachak in Kathua," police here said.

They said that the pilgrims had reportedly hired the bus for Gujarat.

"Two passengers died on the spot and about 40 sustained injuries," they added.

Police said that locals and police rushed to the spot and shifted injured to the Government Medical College and Hospital Jammu. (UNI)
