Baramulla, Dec 5: A soldier was injured when Pakistani troops violated 2003 ceasefire and targeted forward posts in Uri sector in this north Kashmir on Wednesday, official sources said.
They said Pak troops resorted to indiscriminate and unprovoked firing targeting forward position at Line of Control (LoC) in Uri sector in this north Kashmir on Wednesday.
Indian troops also retaliated and the exchange of fire continued , they said a soldier was injured who has been hospitalized.
The damage suffered across the LoC was not immediately clear.
The India and Pakistan agreed for a ceasefire in 2003 on LoC and International Border (IB) in Jammu and Kashmir.
However, Pak troops have time and again violated the ceasefire, forcing Indian troops to retaliate. (UNI)
