Srinagar, Nov 22: Challenging BJP national general secretary Ram Madhav to prove his allegation that the alliance with the PDP was formed at Pakistan's behest or apologies, National Conference (NC) vice- president Omar Abdullah on Thursday said that by this statement the BJP general secretary has disrespected the sacrifices of NC workers, who were killed for not dancing to the tunes of Pakistan.
“I challenge Madhav and other BJP leaders, who have been since yesterday alleging that we work on the behest of Pakistan, to either prove their statements or apologies,” Abdullah told reporters during a press conference here.
“By such statements he has disrespected the sacrifices of almost 3,000 of my colleagues, who refused to dance to the tune of Pakistan and were killed. They died because they didn’t take instructions from across the border,” he said.
Abdullah, who is the former chief minister of the state, said more NC workers have died in 30 years protecting the sovereignty of this country than BJP workers have ever died. (UNI)
