Police registers case against miscreants for pasting posters of Hizb ul Mujaheedin

Jammu, Nov5: Police after recieving specific information that with the intention to disrupt the democratic process of elections some miscreants have pasted some posters of banned terrorist organisation Hizbul Mujahadeen in Dhandal and Gurmal area of Kastigarh registered a case and started investigations, police spokesman here said.

He said that the message on the posters is directed to prospective candidates not to participate in coming Panchayat Election.

On this information today on 04/11/2018 Doda police swung into action and registered a case FIR No 196/2018 u/s 13/20/38/39 ULA. 171C/F RPC at PS Doda and started investigation. During preliminary investigations some 13 suspects were rounded up and questioned, he added.

Further investigation is going on and some more persons are likely to be questioned. Deputy Commissioner Doda visited the area and held a public Darbar on Saturday to reassure people not to fear and understand the design of miscreants.

Moreover to restore the confidence of the general public in the area Doda police has also launched regular patrolling in the area , conducted PCPG meeting in Dhandal and Kastigarh area and assured the people the people to remain steadfast and to participate in democratic process of election without fear as miscreants will be traced soon and taken to task as per law.

The people are upbeat about the elections and and have no fear whatsoever. A sizeable number ie 232 nominations have been filed in Kashtigarh block for 88 seats of Panches and Surpanches.(UNI)
