Life crippled in Tujjar Sharief for day 2

Srinagar, Sep 26: Life remained crippled for the second day on Wednesday in Tujjar Sharief, Sopore, where two Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) militants, including a top commander, were killed by security forces in an encounter which ensued during Cordon and Search Operation (CASO).

Life in Sopore main town was normal with business and other activities going on normally though mobile internet service remained suspended and educational institutions closed for the second day today.

Official sources said that shops and business establishments remained closed in Tujjar sharief and adjoining areas for the second day today. Traffic was also off the roads though private vehicles were plying.

One of the slain militant killed by security forces in an encounter yesterday, identified as Abdul Majeed Mir alias Sameer, is a local resident of Tujjar sharief Bomai, Sopore while the other is Abu Maaz, a top commander of LeT, resident of Pakistan.UNI
