More than 100 students quarantined in central Israel

Tel Aviv, May 31 : More than 100 pupils and several teachers of a school in the central Israeli city of Holon have been quarantined after one of the school children tested positive for the Corona virus, claimed local media reports on Sunday.

As per the Maariv newspaper, a seventh-grade student was found to be Corona positive, after which students of four classes and about 120 in total along with six teachers were put on quarantine for two weeks. 47 cases of the Corona virus were detected in a Jerusalem school earlier this week, confirmed the Israeli Health Ministry.

Israeli government has started lifting domestic restrictions as Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated that there was no need to close schools again. However citizens are still required to maintain social distance and wear face masks while in public. Israel has till today reported more than 17,000 confirmed coronavirus cases, while 284 people have succumbed to the disease 14,800 have recovered. (UNI)
