Berlin, May 5 : Germany registered 685 new positive cases of Novel Coronavirus over the past 24 hours, taking the tally to 163,860, the Robert Koch Institute announced on Tuesday. According to the institute, the death toll had reached 6,831, after 139 people succumbed to the ailment over the past 24 hours.
The institute also said that more than 1,35,000 people have fully recovered from the disease till now. Bavaria continues to be the worst-affected state in Germany, having 43,162 cases, followed by North Rhine-Westphalia, which currently houses 33,728 cases and Baden-Wurttemberg, having 32,482 confirmed cases. The capital city of Berlin currently has 6,042 COVID-19 cases. (UNI)
