Covid-19: S Korea continues to register few cases, plans to loosen social-distancing rules soon

Seoul, May 3 : South Korea has continued its impressive recovery from the Covid-19 pandemic as it reported just 13 new cases on Sunday declared the Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (KCDC). Yonhap quoted KCDC saying that the far eastern nation has now recorded less than 15 cases in a day since the past two weeks. The country is likely to loosen social distancing norms soon as it aims to gradually normalize everyday life.

The nation's total Covid-19 cases currently stands at 10,793. Domestically the infection has been largely contained, out of the 10793 infections so far as many as 1,091 are imported. Out of the 13 new infections 10 were imported, marking the success the nation has achieved in controlling domestic infection. (UNI)
