Covid-19: South Korea continues to see single-digit growth in virus cases

Agency News

Seoul, May 1: As per statistics released by the Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (KCDC) on Friday South Korea recorded just nine new cases of the novel coronavirus over the past 24 hours making it the third consecutive day when new cases were confined to single digits.

Yonhap quoted the KCDC saying that the addition of these nine cases takes the total number of cases in the far eastern nation to 10,774 since the start of the epidemic, while 9,072 people have made a recovery by now which means that the nation today has 1702 active cases. Another encouraging news for the nation is that domestic infections have become negligible as most of the new cases are imported. (UNI)
