Kabul, Apr 28: Afghanistan has reported 125 new COVID-19 cases on Tuesday, the second highest daily increase so far, spokesman of the Ministry of Public Health said.
A total of 125 new COVID-19 cases were reported across Afghanistan within the past 24 hours.
The number of infected patients in the country stands at 1,828 as of Tuesday morning," spokesman Wahidullah Mayar said.
On Monday, the country reported 172 new COVID-19 cases, the highest daily increase since the outbreak of the pandemic in mid-February.
Eight COVID patients have recovered and been discharged from a hospital in western Herat province during the period, the official said, adding the ministry has been conducting more than 9,000 COVID-19 tests so far. (UNI)
