COVID-19: 7 deaths in Bangladesh take toll to 152; positive cases up by 497

Dhaka, Apr 27: With seven more people succumbing to the deadly Coronavirus in the past 24 hours in Bangladesh, the toll mounted to 152 in the nation. As many as 497 more have been infected with the virus, pushing the total number of positive cases to 5,913, informed Professor DrNasima Sultana, Additional Director General of Health Directorate, while presenting the regular health bulletin online on Monday.

Nine more people have also recovered from the disease, raising the number of cured patients to 131, she said As many as 4,192 samples were collected in the past 24 hours, of which, 3,812 samples 497 got positive results for the virus, she added. Bangladesh reported its first three cases of COVID-19 on March 8. (UNI)
