Thailand sees lowest single day rise in cases since COVID-19 outbreak

Bangkok, Apr 23: Thailand registered 13 new COVID-19 cases over the past 24 hours, the lowest single day rise since the pandemic outbreak on Thursday.

Sputnik quoted the response center's spokesperson Taweesin Visanuyothin declaring that the South Asian nation has registered 2,839 cases since the start of the pandemic and the death toll currently stands at 50.

Visanuyothin also confirmed that a total of 2,430 people have fully recovered. He added that a total of 16,179 people across the country have been arrested for violating curfew, imposed since April 3. (UNI)
