Dhaka, Apr 22: Bangladesh government has extended the ongoing general holidays till May 5 to stop the spread of the novel coronavirus in the country. Secretary of the Public Administration Ministry Sheikh Yousuf Harun confirmed the matter to UNI.
Vehicles of all emergency services would be out of purview of the restrictions. Earlier on March 23, the government initially declared a 10-day general holiday, effective from March 26 to April 4, later gradually extended it till April 25. The death toll from the deadly contagious virus has risen to 120 and the number of total infected person stands at 3,772. (UNI)
