Covid-19: More than 1,33,000 cases in Germany

Berlin, Apr 17: There were 3,380 fresh infections in the past 24 hours in Germany, taking the tally to 1,33,000.

Germany's Covid-19 count has reached 133,830 as 3,380 new cases were reported over the past 24 hours disclosed the Robert Koch Institute on Friday.

Sputnik quoted the institute identifying 299 deaths to have been caused by the coronavirus in the past day, as the overall death toll reached 3,868.

On the bright side as many as 81,800 people have fully recovered from the disease since the start of the outbreak, out of which about 4,700 took place in the past 24 hours.

Southern state of Bavaria remains the worst affected state of Germany with 36,027 cases, North Rhine-Westphalia with 27,030 positive cases and Baden-Wurttemberg with 26,543 cases are the second and the third worst states of the country respectively. The capital city of Berlin has confirmed 4,945 COVID-19 cases so far. (UNI)
