COVID-19 cases in Germany up by 2,082, surges past 125,000

Berlin, Apr 14: The number of COVID19 positive cases in Germany's grew by 2,082 to reach 125,098 in the past 24 hours, the Robert Koch Institute said on Tuesday. The death toll has also increased by 170 to reach 2,969, according to Germany's central institution for monitoring infections diseases.

Meanwhile, around 68,200 people have also recovered from the coronavirus in Germany, the institute said, adding that in the past 24 hours itself some 3,600 people recovered from the virus.

According to the update, the majority of cases have been registered in the state of Bavaria (33,569), followed by North Rhine-Westphalia (25,300) and Baden-Wurttemberg (25,040). The capital Berlin has confirmed 4,668 COVID-19 cases, the institute said. (UNI)
