Kuala Lumpur, Apr 12: The number of coronavirus cases in Malaysia totaled at 4,683 after 153 new cases were recorded, the Health Ministry said on Sunday. Health Ministry Director-General Noor Hisham Abdullah said at a press briefing that among the infections, 2,108 have been cured and discharged from hospital, while 66 are currently being held in intensive care and 37 of those are in need of assisted breathing.
The official also said the number of fatalities had risen to 76 after another three deaths were recorded, all of them having suffered from other health problems prior to being infected. Additionally, four new sub-clusters of infections had been identified in four states namely Pahang, Selangor, Penang and Malacca, Noor Hisham said.(UNI)
