Dhaka, Apr 12: Bangladesh on Sunday reported three more deaths from Novel Coronavirus, raising the death toll to 30 and confirmed 58 fresh positive cases in the past 24 hours, taking the total number to 482.
The government is preparing six infrastructures as isolation centres with required facilities, including 4500 beds, Health Minister ZahidMaleque told a virtual media briefing at the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) in the city, by joining it online.
“We're also working on an urgent basis to prepare both government and private hospitals as dedicated ones for COVID-19 patients in the country,” he added. According to Maleque, the government has extended the nationwide holiday till April 25, as part of social isolation measures, to contain the spread of the virus.(UNI)
