Abuja, Apr 12: The number of COVID-19 cases in Nigeria has risen to 318, with the confirmation of 13 new cases on late Saturday, according to Health authorities on Sunday.
With the latest figure, there are 238 cases of the pandemic in the country, the Nigeria Center for Disease Control (NCDC) confirmed in a statement here. It said 70 patients have recovered from the infection, while 10 people lost their lives to the pandemic, which has spread to a total of 19 out of 36 states in the populous African country. The majority of the active cases are in stable condition, the NCDC further said.
The local disease control center said two new laboratories have been activated in the country for COVID-19 testing. This brings the number of laboratories here to 11. (UNI)
