In the meantime, an aircraft with 200 German tourists landed at Schönefeld Airport in Brandenburg on Sunday night, as the RBB reported.

They had been in Egypt, which is considered a high-risk country in the Coronavirus crisis and therefore had to go into quarantine in their homes.

This flight was not part of Foreign Minister Heiko Maas’ expensive retrieval project. He is working on flying home thousands of German tourists who are stuck in several countries around the world because of cancelled flights and closed borders.
