Ankara, Mar 13 : Turkish Health Minister Fahrettin Koca on Friday confirmed a second patient that has been diagnosed with COVID-19. "He is from the immediate circle of our first patient, who was followed up as soon as the diagnosis was made," Koca said in a tweet.
He noted that Turkey has taken necessary measures to contain the spread of the virus. "We will overcome this problem together," he said. Turkey announced its first case of COVID-19 on March 11. The infected person "had contact with Europe," said the minister earlier without giving further details. (UNI)
