COVID-19: Global death toll crosses 4,000

The global death toll passed 4,000 as of Tuesday, according to the official report.

In Mainland China, the death toll is marked with around 3,100 cases, as of the end of 10 March.

The total confirmed cases around the world have increased to more than 113,000 in 113 countries, while recoveries have increased to around 59,000.

Meanwhile, the World Health Organisation said the threat of a pandemic is 'very real' but stressed the virus could still be controlled.
