Moscow, Feb 14: Two crew members of a Mi-8 helicopter were killed as it crashed on Friday in north Russia's Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Region, the Emergencies Ministry said.
The helicopter was carrying 10 people aboard, including three crew members, en route from the Gydan Peninsula to the port of Sabetta. It crashed some 500 meters from the Sabetta airport, the ministry said in a statement.
Previous reports said the Mi-8 helicopter made a hard landing in the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Area. The remaining eight people are in fair condition, the statement said, without specifying.
The circumstances of the accident are being clarified, it added. (UNI-Xinhua)
