Dhaka, Jan 12 : Foreign Minister AK Abdul Momen on Sunday voiced concern over killings of Bangladesh nationals along borders with India.
“Our principle is no killing over border and the Indian government has agreed upon that, but unfortunately it has been happening,” he told at a briefing at his office. “We are concerned over the incidents,” Momen was quoted as saying by news agency BSS.
He said Dhaka would send the message about its concern to India reminding of its promise to ensure “zero border killing” and seeking the neighbour to comply with what “they have told us already”.
Momen also ruled out media reports that Bangladesh is not issuing student visa to Kashmiri students. “It is not true at all (that Kashmiri students are not given Bangladeshi visas),” he said, responding to another question. (UNI)
