New Delhi, Oct 28 : A delegation of Members of European Parliament will visit Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday.This was announced here on Monday.
The delegation called on Prime Minister Narendra Modi here and during his interaction with the delegation, Mr Modi told in as many words that "urgent actions must be taken against all those who support or sponsor terrorists or support such activities and organisations".
Without naming Pakistan, Prime Minister made a veiled attack on the western neighbour and called for actions against all those who use "terrorism as a state policy".
"There should be zero tolerance for terrorism," he said.
According to a release from Prime Minister's Office (PMO), Mr Modi while welcoming the delegation to India, expressed the hope that they have a "fruitful visit to various parts of the country, including to Jammu and Kashmir".
"Their visit to Jammu and Kashmir should give the delegation a better understanding of the cultural and religious diversity of the region of Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh; apart from giving them a clear view of the development and governance priorities of the region," the statement said.(UNI)
