Ankara, Sep 25 : At least 5 people including a policeman, were injured when an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) planted on a road, detonated in southern Turkey's Adana on Wednesday.
Adana Governor Mahmut Demirtas said four civilians and a policeman were injured in the attack and that the condition of the injured was not critical.
According to the initial assessment, several vehicles and buildings nearby were also damaged after the blast, Daily Sabah reported. Large number of security forces were deployed to the scene and an official investigation was launched to find the culprits behind the attack.
So far no group has claimed responsibility for the attack.The Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK), designated as a terrorist group by Ankara, is active in the province and is regularly blamed for similar attacks in the region. (UNI)
