New York, Sep 24: Prime Minister Narendra Modi met Namibian President Hage Geingob and President of Maldives, Ibrahim Mohamed Solih on the margins of United Nations General Assembly here.
'Deepening ties between two vibrant democracies. PM Narendra Modi had a warm & cordial meeting with President Hage Geingob of Namibia on the margins of UNGA,' tweeted Ministry of External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Raveesh Kumar here on Tuesday.
Mr Modi stressed the great potential for further strengthening the partnership between the two countries.
Prime Minister Modi also met President of Maldives Ibrahim Mohamed Solih and Prime Minister of Italy Giuseppe Conte.
'PM Narendra Modi and Prime Minister of Italy Giuseppe Conte had a wonderful meeting. India and Italy will work together in a wide range of areas for the mutual benefit of our citizens,' said a missive from the PMO.
Henrietta Fore, UNICEF chief, also called on the Prime Minister here on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly.
The Prime Minister had six bilateral meetings, MEA spokesperson Raveesh Kumar said in his briefing here where Secretary, West A Gitesh Sarma was also present.
He said External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar held 11 such meetings.(UNI)
