Houston, United States, Sep 22 : Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday expressed satisfaction that Houston will get a SiddhiVinayak Temple.
Speaking at an event here, the Prime Minister made a request to the Indian diaspora.
"Can I make a request to all of you....please send at least five non-Indian families to India as tourists," the Prime Minister said. He also said the Eternal Gandhi museum will be a prized cultural landmark in Houston.
"I have been associated with this effort for a while. It will surely make Gandhi Ji’s thoughts popular among the youth," he said. "You all have set the stage for a glorious future as far as India-USA ties are concerned. I thank you all," he told the Indian overseas community.
Earlier in his address at the much talked about 'Howdy Modi' event, Mr Modi said said the country's multiple languages are an important identity of its liberal and democratic society. "Our various languages are an important identity of our liberal and democratic society. For centuries, our nation has been moving forward with dozens of languages and hundreds of dialects. Diversity is the foundation of our vibrant democracy," he said.
He also has asserted that "everything is fine in India". Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump said his country the USA loves India and maintained that he would work with Indian Prime Minister Modi to make both the nations "more prosperous than ever before".
