Geneva, Sep 10: India on Tuesday blasted Pakistan, describing it as 'practitioner of state-sponsored terrorism' and asserted that global players must speak out against the menace which poses a grave challenge to the international community.
"The world, in particular India, has suffered greatly on account of the activities by practitioners of state sponsored terrorism and it is high time to collectively take decisive and firm action against terror groups and their abettors who threaten the fundamental human right to life," Secretary East in MEA Vijay Thakur Singh said at the 42nd United Nations Human Rights Council meet here.
"We must speak out. Silence only emboldens terrorists. It also encourages their intimidatory tactics.
India appeals to the international community to work together in the fight against terrorism and their sponsors," she said.
Charging Pakistan with carrying out an offensive of "rhetoric of false allegations and concocted charges" against India, Ms Vijay Thakur Singh asserted-"The world is aware that this fabricated narrative comes from the epicentre of global terrorism, where ring leaders were sheltered for years.
"This nation (Pakistan) conducts cross-border terrorism as a form of alternate diplomacy.' (UNI)
