Islamabad, August 29: Pakistani authorities will complete the process of issuance of visas to Sikh pilgrims to attend the 550th birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev in Nankana Sahib, by September 30, according to the media report on Thursday. A meeting of the Religious Tourism and Heritage Committee (RTHC) was held in Lahore which was chaired by Punjab province's Governor Chaudhry Sarwar on Wednesday.
“The visa process for the Sikh pilgrims would start on September 1 and complete by the end of the month, “ said the Governor. He said work on setting up a "tent city" in Nankana Sahib, the birth place of Guru Nanak, would begin next week. The road from Sacha Sauda to Nankana Sahib will be completed soon.
