The Army has foiled multiple infiltration attempts by terrorists backed by the Pakistan Army in the Keran sector of Jammu and Kashmir on Friday. According to the Army sources, the Pakistan Army is increasing its attempts to push terrorists in Indian Territory for which it has activated a major communication hub in Kali Ghati area near Neelam Valley in Occupied Kashmir to guide them. According to Army sources, the communication hub has a range of 50-60 km and it allows terrorists to communicate with their guides even across the LoC. After receiving intelligence inputs, the Army positions on the LoC have been put on high-alert to prevent any misadventure.
Apart from this, a high alert has also been sounded at all Army, Air Force, and security forces' bases in Jammu and Kashmir against the possible attempt by Pakistan-backed terror groups to carry out attacks. The high alert has been sounded in view of Pakistan's attempts to create disturbances in the Valley after India abrogated Article 370 ending the special status of Jammu and Kashmir. The Pakistan Army has also escalated ceasefire violations in terms of area and weapon in the last few days to support the infiltrators. According to the Northern Area Commander, Lt Gen Ranbir Singh, Pakistan has been attempting to push in infiltrators in the past few days.
