Moscow, Aug 16: Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Russian President Vladimir Putin will hold talks on September 4, on the sidelines of the Eastern Economic Forum (EEF), the Kremlin said here on Friday. "On September 4, bilateral talks with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be held on the sidelines of the forum, they will take up most of the day," Sputnik news agency quoted Kermlin spokesperson Yury Ushakov. Mr Ushakov said the two leaders were expected to have discussion on various issues and sign several agreements.
Besides, Mr Modi would be awarded the Order of St Andrew, during his visit, Mr Ushakov added. Mr Modi would participate in the 5th edition of EEF as the chief guest for the event, to be held in Vladivostok from September 4-6, he said. The Forum is held annually, with the objective of facilitating the accelerated development of the Russian Far East's economy and expanding international cooperation in the Asia-Pacific region, the Spokesperson added.(UNI)
