Islamabad, Aug 15 : The Indian High Commission(HC) in Pakistan celebrated the 73rd Independence day with patriotic ardour here in the consulate on Thursday.
"The 73rd Independence Day of India was celebrated with great enthusiasm at the High Commission of India in Pakistan. Chargé d'affaires Gaurav Ahluwalia unfurled the National Flag and read out the President's message,” The Indian HC tweeted from its official handle.
"Jai Hind rang out under the unfurled Tiranga at the Chancery as all members celebrated the 73rd IndependenceDay. Josh is High!", the commission said in an another tweet. Meanwhile, Indian High Commissioner Ajay Bisaria who was recently expelled by Pakistan after India revoked Article 370, said the flag will keep flying over Indian embassy in Pakistan.
The images of consulate's complete staff with men wearing 'bandh-gala' black suit and women wearing sarees was shared by the commission. (UNI)
