US President Donald Trump, who recently offered to mediate between India and Pakistan to resolve the Kashmir dispute, has made it clear that the mediation proposal is not on the table anymore.
Indian Ambassador to the US Harsh Vardhan Shringla said the US President’s offer to intervene on Jammu and Kashmir issue was turned down by India.
"President Trump has made it very clear that his offer to mediate is dependent on both India and Pakistan accepting it. Since India has not accepted the offer, he has made it clear that this is not on the table anymore," Shringla told a TV channel.
Earlier this month, India rebuffed Trump’s offer and said any talks to resolve the issue would be held between New Delhi and Islamabad.
