Islamabad, Aug 4 : Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan on Sunday held a meeting of the National Security Council and reviewed the situation along the Line of Control in Kashmir.
The meeting was attended by Defence Minister Pervez Khattak, Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa, the Navy Chief and Air Force Chief.
The civil and military leadership reviewed the situation after tensions escalated at LoC on Saturday night, the Dispatch News Desk (DND) news agency reported.
The Indian Army on Saturday said it had foiled an attack by Pak BAT on a forward post along the LoC in Keran sector of Jammu and Kashmir, killing five to seven intruders.
Earlier the Pakistan premier accused India of using cluster bombs in violation of the 1983 Convention on Certain Conventional Weapons and asked the UN Security Council take note of this.
Khan said the "new aggressive actions" being taken by Indian occupation forcess had the "potential to blow up into a regional crisis"(UNI)
