PM Modi meets Presidents of Brazil and Indonesia: Holds talks to boost ties

Osaka (Japan), Jun 29 : Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday continued his bilateral engagements and met the Presidents of Brazil and Indonesia separately on the sidelines of the G-20 Summit here.

"Deepening the close and multifaceted strategic partnership. PM Narendra Modi and Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro held wide-ranging discussions on bilateral relationship, specially cooperation in trade and investment, agriculture and bio-fuels in the context of climate change," MEA spokesman Raveesh Kumar tweeted.During his meeting with Indonesian president Joko Widodo, Mr Modi discussed ways to deepen bilateral cooperation in trade and investment, defence and maritime fronts.
"Beginning Day 2 of the G20 Summit by meeting a valued friend. PM Narendra Modi holds talks with President Widodo on ways to deepen India-Indonesia cooperation," the Prime Minister's Office tweeted.

MEA spokesman Kumar wrote: "Taking forward the comprehensive strategic partnership. PM Narendra Modi had a productive meeting with Indonesian President on margins of G20 Summit. Discussed expanding cooperation in trade and investment, defence, maritime, space and exchanged views on Indo-Pacific vision."

During the last two days, Prime Minister Modi held bilateral and multilateral meetings with many leaders, including Japanese PM Shinzo Abe, the US President Donald Trump, Russian president Vladimir Putin and Chinese leader Xi Jinping.Meanwhile, Australian Prime Minister Scott Morison tweeted a selfie snap with Prime Minister Modi and wrote "Kithana acha he Modi!
