Osaka (Japan), Jun 28 : The US President Donald Trump on Friday said absolutely there is 'no time pressure' on Iran to de-escalate tension in the Gulf and hoped that the American message given to Iran is going to work out."There is absolutely no time pressure. I think in the end hopefully it is going to work out. If it works out, great, if it does not, you will be hearing about it," President Trump told reporters after he made opening remarks during bilateral talks with Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
To a specific question on the situation in Iran, Mr Trump said: "The message is the same as last three days. We have a lot of time, no rush. They (Iran) can take their time".On Indo-US ties, President Trump said he values friendship with India a lot and both the countries would go a long way."The relationship with India, I don't believe has been ever better than what it is now," Mr Trump said.
"We will just continue to go along with India," he said.In his initial remarks, Prime Minister said two sides would discuss about the situation in Iran, bilateral ties between two countries, 5G related matters and also defence.Mr Modi also referred to Secretary of State Mike Pompeo's visit to India earlier this week and during that time discussions did take place on various subjects.(UNI)
