Dhaka, Jun 26: Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Wednesday, while expressing concern over delay in repatriation of Rohingyas, said it might hamper security and stability of Bangladesh.
Responding to a question of Awami League leader and Member of Parliament Nur Mohammad, the Prime Minister told Parliament that it is very tough to arrange foods, clothes and accommodation for over 11 lakh Myanmar citizens (Rohingya's)-- that too for an 'indefinite' time.
"If we can’t send them back soon, there is an apprehension that our security and stability will be hampered", she said adding that this is why the government has been making diplomatic efforts to reach a permanent solution.
Sheikh Hasina said the Rohingyas people, who were deprived of basic rights by the Myanmar authorities, were naturally suffering from dissatisfaction. (UNI)
